Macclesfield Harriers & Athletic Club

Request for Macc Half Marshals, Volunteers and Runners!

While it still may feel like a long way off, organisation of the Macc Half, 5K and Fun Run on Sunday September 24 is well underway and entries are steadily coming in. We need the help of every club member to support this event and to make it a success. Support can be in many different forms from helping with marshalling or car parking on the day to supporting the club by running in one of the races. If you are a club member you should be a part of this event in some way on the day. Whether you are volunteering or running the atmosphere is always great and each year this event shows what a fun, inclusive and organised club we are. Please get in touch if you want to volunteer in any way or enter the race through the following link:

Run and Talk - April 13th

In support of our health and wellbeing and helping more people understand the benefits of running for our mental health , MH&AC and their EA mental health ambassadors Mel Whittaker and Kim Eastham, invite you to run and talk between 5k and up to 10k along the lovely Middlewood Way and canal. We will be starting at 6.00pm on Thursday 13th April from the Bollington Skate Park Car Park (Adlington Road, Bollington)

Testing volunteers wanted ...

Manchester Metropolitan Universite (MMU) is running a research project testing a new cryotherapy device in February and March and is looking for volunteers to take part. We have been asked to let Macclesfield Harriers members know about this.

The testing requires a single visit of either ½ hour or 1 hour depending on how much time you can spare.

The attached documents give more information. Please be aware that the study is not to see whether there are therapeutic effects from the device, it is purely to see whether the device cools the area.

Please see the documents attached for more information.

2017/2018 - Subs now due !

It's that time again, membership renewals are now overdue if you have not yet renewed then now is the time to do it......
