Club Fell Handicap - Sunday 18th Feb 2018

Message from Phil Cheek (Handicap Organiser)

The Fell Handicap has been rearranged for Sunday 18th February 2018. It has been tricky to find a new date that did not clash with other Club events that the pub could accommodate. For anybody that cannot make the new date I apologise.

Please can you let Phil Cheek know if you plan to run on the new date so that the start times can be sorted out (see below). All other arrangements remain the same (St Dunstan's for registration and post run food, ÂŁ6 entry, Sweetie tree etc).

hope to see you there!

Phil Cheek

Club Fell Handicap 2017

The annual club fell handicap will be held on Sunday 10th December, from the St Dunstans. Start times from 9am.

All details the same as previous years. Full kit will of course be required.

Ask Phil if you need any more info or if you've not run before.

Please let Phil Cheek ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) know if you plan to run, and if possible provide him with either your 'form' and/or a bottle of red, so that a start time can be allocated.

A map of the course is below, run anticlock, Forest / Shutlingsloe first.

Andrew Heywood Memorial Windgather Fell Race, Sun 15th Oct 2017 at 11:00

Thanks everyone for coming along to this year's jaunt.

Many thanks also to all the marshals, sweepers, timekeepers, tea and food section and everyone else who helped the race run smoothly.

We managed a day of good weather and despite the wet conditions underfoot some excellent times.

With your help well over ÂŁ1000 has been raised for charities and good causes local and further afield : Buxton Rotary will let me know how much, and where it;s going, ASAP.

Results are here...

Filnally, please, if you've any feedback for us drop me a note: in particular if you've any views on the date of next year's race: as I'd quite like to avoid the FRA relays if possible.

Thanks again cheers Julian julianbrown10 at hotmail.co.uk

British fell relays - results

Well done to the 4 teams that represented Macc in Llanberis at British fell relays yesterday. There were strong performances across all the teams on a challenging, very muddy course. Special mention to the ladies V40 team who finished 4th in their age category!

2017 Tegg's Nose Fell Race Results

From Simon (and Sam...) to both of whom many thanks....

'Many, many thanks to all who helped yesterday.

Simon Bailey won in 52.15 and as ever, looked composed throughout.

Club member Kathleen won the Ladies' race and despite her protests of 'never again' I think we'll see her out and about soon.

Nice day too, apart from the 5 minute shower which apparently missed the speedier folk !

I am sure I can speak for Sam in saying thanks to all who helped....without volunteers, there'd be no race.
